Select Import Type.
Upload Data.
Map Columns.
Preview & Validate.
Results.
Each step ensures your data is accurate before it is added to the system.
Step 1: Select Import Type
You must first choose what type of data you want to import. You will see three options:
Objectives Only
Import only objectives (no key results).
Objectives + Key Results
Import objectives along with their associated key results.
Groups + Objectives + KRs
Import objective groups, objectives, and key results in a hierarchical structure.
Select the option that matches your data structure.
Click Next: Upload File.
Step 2: Upload Data
You can import data in two ways:
Paste Data Option
Copy data directly from Excel or Google Sheets.
Paste into the text area.
Maximum limit: 500 rows.
Ensure the first row contains headers (recommended).
Upload File
Upload a CSV or Excel file.
The system will automatically detect the delimiter.
Ensure headers are properly structured.
You can click Download Sample Template to understand the suitable data structure.
Once uploaded, click Next.
Step 3: Map Columns
Now you will map your spreadsheet columns to Kendis fields.
You will see:
Kendis Field | Your File Column | Sample Data
For each required field, select the corresponding column from your file. Review the sample data shown on the right.
Required Fields are marked with a red asterisk.
Important Note:
"Type" must clearly specify Objective, or KR. Parent Objective is required for KR rows. Responsible must be a valid user email. Time Period must match an existing time period.
Once mapping is complete, click Next.
Step 4: Preview & Validate
Before importing, the system shows a complete preview of your data.
You will see:
Total Rows.
Valid Rows.
Number of Objectives.
Number of Key Results.
Below that, you’ll see a detailed table preview of Type, Title, Description, Status, Time Period, Responsible, Parent Objective, BV Plan / Actual, and KR Fields.
What to Check?
Are objectives structured correctly?
Are KRs linked to the correct parent?
Are statuses valid?
Are BV values correct?
Is the time period correct?
If everything looks accurate, click Import.
If not, click Previous and fix your mapping or file.
Step 5: Import Results
Once the import completes successfully, you will see:
✅ Import Completed!
The system confirms that objectives and key results were successfully imported.
You can now:
Click Start New Import (to import more data).
Or close the modal to start using the imported data.
Viewing Imported Objectives
After closing the modal:
Your newly imported Objectives and KRs will appear on the Program Board.
Hierarchies will be preserved.
Business Values will be reflected.
KR progress will display according to imported values.
You will see:
Objectives listed correctly.
Nested KRs under each Objective.
Accurate BV Plan and BV Actual values.
Proper status and time period alignment.
