Welcome to the AI Hub, your smart assistant for closing out PI Planning with clarity. Instead of spending hours manually digging through boards to find data, the AI Hub does the heavy lifting for you. With one click, it gathers your board data to create a professional End of PI Planning Report that highlights exactly how ready your teams are for the next increment.

Getting Started

AI features are exclusive to Org View subscribers and are not available on Basic or Premium plans. If you don’t see the AI Hub option in the More menu, please contact your administrator to upgrade your subscription.

Open the “More” menu on your board and select AI Hub.

Once inside the AI Hub, you can initiate a comprehensive audit of your PI board with a single click. Click Generate Report to initiate the data compilation process. If you want to continue working elsewhere, select “Got it, Continue in Background”.

A real-time tracker in the AI Reports sidebar shows the compile percentage. You will receive a notification once the report is generated. Then you can click View to open the detailed insights.

Core PI Planning Report Analytics

Gain instant visibility into your Program Increment through specialized analysis layers that transition from high-level executive summaries to team performance and strategic goal alignment.

Analysis Tab I: PI Planning Summary

This tab provides an executive-level "Helicopter View" of your entire Program Increment.

Executive Summary & Highlights:

This section narrates exactly what your teams are tackling. For example, the executive summary below shows your Q3 PI covers 45 features and 113 stories over 5 sprints. It highlights major aspects like security or identity management so stakeholders understand the strategic "big picture".

It also doesn't shy away from risks. It will flag if teams are severely over-committed or if coordination is needed between specific groups like the Dragons and Aliens. Charlie also alerts you to what needs fixing.

PI Snapshot:

Think of PI Snapshot as your project’s major signs. At a single glance, you can see the total number of teams, features, and milestones involved in your plan.

This section works for you by:

Highlighting Dependency Hotspots: It automatically flags areas where teams are heavily intertwined, showing you exactly where the most coordination is needed.

Providing a Stakeholder Status: It uses a simple color-coded signal (such as GREEN) to indicate to your stakeholders that the plan is realistic and ready for execution.

AI Planning Score:

View your score (e.g., 7.0/10) calculated by Charlie AI based on plan quality patterns from similar past PIs.

Health & Quality Metrics:

Monitor your Confidence Vote results, Capacity Impact, and Unplanned Work Ratio. A high ratio (e.g., 40.9%) signals a major risk of work spilling into later iterations.

Dependency Network:

This section helps you visualise and manage the complex "hand-offs" between teams to prevent bottlenecks.

Total Dependencies: View the total number of dependencies across your program, including how many are resolved versus still at risk (e.g., 9 resolved and 17 still at risk).

Identifying Coordination Webs: Charlie AI automatically flags multi-team chains, like the connection between the Dragons, Aliens, and Cherokee, that require early synchronisation.

Circular Link Alerts: This report also identifies circular dependencies (e.g., Cherokee linking back to Dragons), which must be resolved to avoid delivery loops.

Network Density: Pinpoint where dependencies concentrate, such as around identity and access functionality, to prioritise specific joint planning sessions.

Risk Analysis: You can review the total risk count and status. This widget ensures all high-severity items are accounted for or mitigated before the PI begins.

Plan Quality & Spillover: High-level metrics for Unplanned Work Ratio and Spillover Risk identify if work is likely to migrate into later iterations.

PI Hygiene Observations: Catch the small details that cause big problems, such as "orphan features" that remain unaligned to explicit objectives or over-commitment concentrated in specific teams.

Decisions Needed & Recommended Actions:

This section removes the guesswork by telling you exactly what needs to happen before your teams start working. You can review a prioritized list of must-solve issues, such as rebalancing a team with a 441.7% load or assigning value to "zero-BV" objectives. Every decision is assigned to a specific Owner, ensuring accountability for resolving planning gaps before Iteration 1 begins.

You also get specific "Recommended Actions" from Charlie AI, like shifting lower-priority features from the Aliens to Team Forge to create a more balanced workload. Recommended Planning Actions allow you to follow clear steps to close delivery gaps, such as connecting orphan features to objectives or resolving high-priority objective risks.

Overall Readiness: View your color-coded status (e.g., GREEN) and an AI Planning Score (e.g., 7.0/10) derived from plan quality patterns.

Analysis Tab II: Teams

In our PI Report, the Teams tab helps you move from the big picture to the specific needs of your teams to ensure nobody is overwhelmed.

Teams Overview: Instantly identify "Over-capacity indicators," such as when 3 out of 4 teams have unplanned work exceeding their planned volume.

Team Commitment Cards: View each team’s Planned Commitment (e.g., 42 stories) vs. their PI Backlog (e.g., 31 stories) to see if they are "Severely over-committed" at a glance.

Coordination Exposure: Identify a team's Coordination Risk by seeing exactly how many inbound and outbound dependencies they have and who their top partner teams are.

Automated Planning Assessments: Click “Show Details” on any team to see a custom analysis. This identifies specific "Key Signals," like a load that exceeds healthy thresholds, and provides Recommended Actions to rebalance the workload.

Analysis Tab III: Objectives

The Objectives tab ensures your hard work is actually delivering the business value you promised to stakeholders.

Portfolio Summary: You can monitor your total list of objectives and specifically flag those with Planning Risk (Off Track) or those with Zero Business Value (BV).

Value Alignment & Risk Sidebar: It helps you get a high-level summary of your Delivery Readiness. Charlie AI warns you if the majority of your objectives lack value signals, which makes prioritisation difficult during execution.

Objective Health Inspection: Just scroll through individual cards to check their status. You can see the linked work items and completion percentages (e.g., 75%) for every goal.

Closing the Gaps: Use the Recommended Actions to shore up your strategy, such as resolving at-risk dependencies that create visibility gaps or assigning business value before the PI begins.

AI Hub Strategic Controls

The AI Hub header provides a centralised suite of tools to manage, refine, and communicate your planning outcomes with precision:

Saved Reports Library: Access the Saved Reports dashboard (folder icon) to view, manage, and compare all previously generated AI audits, allowing you to track planning maturity over time.

Professional Export Options: Communicate your findings by generating an Export PDF for executive reviews or using the Download icon for offline access to the report data.

Generate Report: Utilise the persistent Generate Report button to instantly refresh your analytics whenever changes are made to the board during the planning event.

By synthesising board data into these three distinct pillars, Summary, Teams, and Objectives, the Kendis AI Hub empowers Agile leaders to replace manual documentation with high-impact strategy.
